Laurence Handfield
Founded by Quebec artist Laurence Handfield, Lapin bleu • Lapin bleu is a project born from a true passion for the liberating practice of pottery. Since 2025, Laurence has traded her university studies in Film Studies to dedicate herself fully to working with clay.
Placing great importance on daily rituals, she has come to realize that the vessels we use to eat and drink become essential elements of our well-being. Guided by this philosophy, her practice focuses on creating ceramic pieces that are both functional and aesthetic, designed to be cherished and used for years to come.
The creative process behind Lapin bleu • Lapin bleu remains instinctive and ever-evolving. Through the integration of different mediums, such as drawing and linocut printing, her pieces are playful and sometimes even delightfully absurd. She draws much of her inspiration from the eclectic colors and patterns found throughout nature.
